From 1969 to 1993 she owned and operated ten different salons, gaining experience in tanning beds, steam rooms, massage therapy, the boutique, gifts, hair and nails. In 1971 she also got involved in pageantry and the Carole Carvelle Modeling Agency. Together they put on pageants and did a lot of judgingfor their own and other pageants.
In 1993 she decided to take a course in Intradermal Cosmetics, better known as Permanent Cosmetics or Tattooing pigments in the dermal layer of the skin. She trained under Sandi Hammons, who owns Premier Pigments for three (3) years. After graduating she opened her own school to train, educate and help license individuals in the state of TN to penetrate and deposit foreign matter successfully into a person's skin while demonstrating high medical standards and procedures.
In 1996 she began her new career by opening the business known as Southern Institute of Intradermal Cometics Inc. located on Brookhaven Circle in Memphis TN. She oprated under the highest level of professional standards of personal conduct, honesty, integrity, dedication to service, and the State of Tennessee Health Department law that requires a student to intern as a tatoo apprentice for one (1) year. During this apprenticeship the student must complete necessary theory and pratical procedures known as eyebrows, eyeliners, lips, lip liners, scars, stretch marks, cleft lips, areolas and vitiligo to graduate.
Polly says "The quality of education the students learn at A Perfect You helps them to become an accomplished technician in the art of permanent cosmetics micro pigmentation. I teach the students to provide their clients with the highest and utmost professionalism, and it enables the graduate to command higher prices in all procedures. My school has been a success and I have just learned that Sandi Hammons wants to use the scale as a model for franchising all over the world. I feel so blessed and I know the LORD JESUS CHRIST has carried me all the way".
